You will hear people use these phrases “they were my silver lining” or “they changed my life” often when talking about people that impacted their lives. In my case, it was nothing to elaborate. My life was not impacted by change, instead by consistency. It was after a long day, or how at the edge of my patience I was; I would go home, she’d insult me, we would order food and kick back and relax. Back home she was the speck of my normalcy in the rollercoaster that is my life. It was her presence that kept me grounded; my best friend, my sister.
